Use of this table for sizing concrete and masonry foundation walls in Seismic Zones 3 and 4 shall be limited to the follow-

Walls shall not support more than 4 feet of unbalanced backfill.

Walls shall not exceed 8 feet in height. Mortar shall be Type M or S and masonry shall be laid in running bond. Ungrouted hollow masonry units are permitted except where otherwise indicated.
