ABOUT THE AUTHORS







                            Jing Na is Professor of Dynamics and Control in the Faculty of Mechanical
                            and Electrical Engineering at Kunming University of Science and Technol-
                            ogy, Kunming, China. He obtained the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the
                            School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology in 2004 and 2010,
                            respectively. From 2011 to 2013, he was a Monaco/ITER Postdoctoral
                            Fellow at the ITER Organization, Saint-Paul-l˙ es-Durance, France. From
                            2015 to 2017, he was a Marie Curie Fellow with the Department of Me-
                            chanical Engineering, University of Bristol, U.K. Since 2010, he has been
                            with the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Kunming Uni-
                            versity of Science and Technology, where he became a Professor in 2013.
                            His current research interests include intelligent control, adaptive parame-
                            ter estimation, neural networks, non-linear control and applications. He has
                            published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles. He is an editorial board
                            member for the Neurocomputing, the International Journal of Modelling,
                            Identification and Control (IJMIC). He was a recipient of the Best Applica-

                            tion Paper Award of the 3 IFAC International Conference on Intelligent
                            Control and Automation Science (IFAC ICONS 2013), and 2017 Hsue-
                            shen Tsien Paper Award.

                            Qiang Chen is Associate Professor of Control Systems in the College
                            of Information Engineering at the Zhejiang University of Technology,
                            Hangzhou, China. He obtained the B.S. degree in measurement and con-
                            trol technology and instrumentation from Hebei Agricultural University,
                            Baoding, China, in 2006 and the Ph.D. degree in control science and en-
                            gineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2012.
                            He joined Zhejiang University of Technology as a Lecturer in 2012 and
                            became Associate Professor in 2017. His research interests include support
                            vector machines, neural network control, adaptive control with applications
                            to servo systems.


                            Xuemei Ren is Professor of Control Systems with the School of Au-
                            tomation, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. She received the
                            B.S. degree from Shandong University, Shandong, China, in 1989, and the
                            M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in control engineering from Beijing University of
