The United Religions Initiative (URI) was founded in 2000 by a global
community committed to promoting enduring, daily interfaith coop-
eration and ending religiously motivated violence. Members from
diverse backgrounds pioneer interfaith dialogue and peace-building
skills. Its core organizational principles include inclusive member-
ship, self-organizing initiatives, and decentralized governance.
