you can express through your work, the happier you’ll be, and the
longer you’ll be satisfied in your career.
While most of my clients have resisted doing the personal and
emotional requirements analyses, they all enjoy the values work,
because we treasure our values. Values give our lives meaning, joy,
and happiness. Our values and peak experiences are the source
of profound fulfillment, passion, bliss, and even euphoria—all
of which are components to finding the right career. If you have
taken the time to identify and fulfill your personal requirements
in Step 2 and yet you aren’t happy in your current career, then it
is high time that you start living your values; the source of excite-
ment, joy, and a sense of fulfillment and of living your purpose all
come from expressing your core values. Especially if you want to
attract the right career to you, start living your values today. More
opportunities arise when we are doing what we love to do.
What makes you feel turned on and excited about life? What
are your passions? What has you bouncing out of bed in the morn-
ing, eager to start the day? These are our core values, and when
we are living them regularly, we feel excited about life; we radi-
ate energy and enthusiasm. You are most likely to attract the ideal
career when you are fully living and expressing your core values. If
you keep hitting the snooze button every morning or need multi-
ple cups of coffee to motivate yourself to
