            Katrina. Dr. Smith continues to consult and collaborate in the analysis of
            data on disaster and trauma.

            Julie Taylor, M.Div., CTR, is executive director of Disaster Chaplaincy
            Services. She is the author of the chapter “Spiritual First Aid” in Disaster
            Spiritual Care: Practical Clergy Responses to Community, Regional, and
            National  Tragedy,  the  first  comprehensive  resource  for  pastoral  care  in
            the face of disaster. She also coauthored “Roles in Respite Centers: Peers,
            Chaplains and Mental Health,” International Journal of Emergency Mental
            Health. Reverend Taylor is a certified trauma responder (CTR) through
            the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, an approved instructor by
            the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and a member of
            the Hudson Valley CISM Team. She received her master’s of divinity from
            Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Reverend Taylor lives in
            New York City and has responded to both local and national disasters.


            Susan L. Thornton, M.Div., M.A., has a Master of Divinity degree from
            Union Theological Seminary in New York, and a master’s in counseling
            psychology from University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. She has
            been a United Church of Christ clergywoman for 34 years and a clinical
            pastoral education supervisor for 15 years. She presently leads the Clinical
            Pastoral Education program at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center and
            acts as a theological consultant in Dr. Harris’ research program. She has
            been a first responder in several disasters.

            Alfonso Wyatt, M.Div., is an associate minister and elder on the staff
            of The Greater Allen Cathedral of New York under the leadership of Dr.
            Floyd H. Flake. Reverend Wyatt ministers to the unemployed, youth, par-
            ents, and the broader community. He has designed innovative workshops
            for married couples and seminars for church leaders. Reverend Wyatt
            is a national role model and leader on issues that impact youth, health,
            family, and community development. He is an advisor and consultant
            to  government,  universities,  public  schools,  community-based  organi-
            zations, faith-based institutions, foundations, and civic groups. He is a
            frequent public speaker, bringing a message of hope around the nation
            and world.
              Reverend Wyatt is vice president of the Fund for the City of New York,
            a highly regarded operating foundation and public charity started by the
            Ford Foundation in 1968. The mission of the Fund for the City of New
            York  is  to  improve  the  quality  of  life  for  all  New  Yorkers  through  its
