           Overlap Between Siloed Applications



           Another consequence of the building of siloed applications is that there is a high degree
           of overlap—redundancy—among the many siloed applications. Because the applications
           are built for individual requirements, it is almost inevitable that there be significant data
           and process overlap between the different siloed applications.


           Fig. 5.1.9 shows the overlap between the different applications.
