           These design patterns enable the data vault model to inherit scale-free attributes that
           impose no known inherent limitation on the size of the model or the size of data that the
           model can represent—other than those limitations introduced by the infrastructure.



           Components of a Data Vault Model



           There are three basic entities or structures in a data vault model: hub, link, and satellite.
           In business terms, the hubs represent the actual business keys or master key sets that
           exist across the enterprise in a horizontal fashion. The links represent the relationships
