                  16.5 CANDU (PHWR) reactor instrumentation

                  Much of the instrumentation in typical CANDU reactors is similar to instrumentation
                  in pressurized light water reactors. The balance-of-plant is essentially the same in
                  both types and the instrumentation is essentially the same. Likewise, many of the
