coordinates of each reference point in 3D space, and the user manually connected selected
points with lines, to create the model shown in Fig. 5.16b. The model was then exported to
a popular 3D visualization software program, where surfaces and objects were created,
resulting in Fig. 5.16c. Finally, the model was rendered and lighting was added to produce
Fig. 5.16d. The result is a reasonably accurate realistic-looking 3D digital model that can
be rotated, scaled, and viewed from any angle.
