in the laboratory. Figure 12.11 shows a test to destruction of a full-size double tee. In
conducting a test of this sort, instrumentation of all strands should be provided to determine
if there is premature bond slip. Figure 12.12 shows an example of instrumentation on the
strand.
Load testing to destruction provides information concerning flexural strength and shear
strength, as well as bond slip.
