The Final Product
With the peripherals in a small pack, all that’s left is to assemble it all and install it onto the
Roomba. Figure 15-21 shows what the final Roomba Rover looks like. As before, small bits of
Velcro hold down the router, peripheral box, and camera. If you want to use the Roomba but-
tons, you can situate the assembly on the dustbin.

Viewing the world from the robot’s perspective is an interesting experience. Between the dif-
ferent angle and the lower image quality and frame rate, exploring even mundane places seems
like exploring a different world. It makes you wonder how alien the surface of Mars is, and how
much is attributable to the difference of perspective.
