A second calculation considering the mass of water entering at
4.45 m draught forward will give a trim of 3.12 m and draughts of
2.03 m aft and 5.15 m forward. Results of the intermediate steps in
the calculation are given in [] above. A third calculation yields
draughts of 1.88m aft and 5.49m forward.
In this case, since a rectangular body is involved the draughts can
be deduced directly by simple calculation using the lost buoyancy
approach and treating the underwater fore and aft sections as
