Because the motor in the Lego
Turing Machine does not have a
large load to bear, it does not
require an extraordinarily strong
mounting. You’ll notice that this
motor mount is lighter and simpler
than the typical motor mount.

The touch sensor requires a base
and support structure of bricks. The
touch sensor will be pushed
several times. The extra bracing
and support will keep the touch
sensor from moving out of
position.
