pumps. Large pumps are manufactured by LEGO with springs that return the pump
handle back to its uncompressed state. Removing these springs makes the compression
stroke of each pump less work for the motors; therefore, prior to starting this sub-assembly
you should remove the springs from the pumps.

Pump Step 0

Begin by taking one
of the Pump Wall sub-
assemblies and
attaching these parts
to it as shown.

Pump Step 1

Note that you will need to slide the axle
joiner onto the side of the lower #6 axle you added in Pump Step 0 that is
on the side of the wall that is not visible. For proper placement of the axle
joiner please refer to Pump Step 3.
