NOTE The length for flat head screws is measured from the flat top. The
length for all other styles is measured from under the head.
If you want your screw to sit flush with the material, instead of on top of it, you will
need to use a countersink or counterbore (see Figure 3-8). McMaster (among others)
sells special countersink and counterbore drill bits for this purpose.
