Design and Analysis Programs
ABSTRACT
Computers in general have a very important effect on the design and analysis of mecha-
tronic systems. For mechanical parts, computer-aided design programs improve the
design process and for the electronics, circuit drawing programs make the design process
very effective. With the help of the mechanical drawing programs, the mechanical parts
can be created in the computer environment and for the manufacturing the CNC machines
codes can be generated. By using 3D versions, the assembly drawings can be prepared.
The circuit drawing programs can do a similar task for the electronic parts of the project.
Especially some programs can recall parts from library files, making it very easy for the
designer. Even some of the software can be incorporated with the software so that the
software can also be controlled in a virtual environment.
Finite Element Analysis programs can run most of the mechanical failure mode
calculations, making the part optimization easy for the designer.
