                            A.18 Tanks

                            The Tanks dataset contains:

                            - Grey-level image files (12) of tank models. They comprise profile views of
three prototype tanks (Tl, T2 and T3) and three views of each prototype
(numbered TU, where i refers to the prototype and j to the view), taken at
                              variable distance and perspective.
                            - Processed images of the tank models, with piecewise linear contours
superimposed. The contours were determined using an active contour technique,
                              with adjusted number of segments.
                            - Excel file with two columns for each tank containing the length and the angular
orientation of each contour segment, in clockwise traversing order, starting at
the lower corner of the cannon mouth.

                            A.19 Weather

The Weather.xls file contains the measurements made at 12H00 for the period of
January 1, 1999 through August 23, 2000 of the following variables:

                              T Temperature ("C)
                              H Humidity (%)
                              WS Wind speed (mls)
WD Wind direction (anticlockwise, relative to North)
NS Projection of WD in the North-South direction
EW Projection of WD in the East-West direction
