Ms. Linda Lansing
Director, Human Resources
New York General Hospital
78 Lexington Avenue
New York, New York 10028
Dear Ms. Lansing:
Please accept this letter and my resume as an application for a position on the New York
General Hospital staff. As a compassionate, hardworking professional who is willing to put
in long hours, I believe I can make a positive contribution to your hospital.
As you may note in my resume, I have recently completed my residency at Walter Reed
Hospital in Washington, D.C. During my time at Walter Reed, I also worked as a volunteer
three nights a week for the Homeless Help Program. Through my volunteer activities, I
have gained experience working with a vast number of individuals of various ages and
socioeconomic backgrounds.
Besides solid medical skills, you will find that I have exceptionally strong organizational
skills and am able to work independently with little or no supervision. I am looking for a
hospital where I can best utilize my personal and professional skills and satisfy my desire to
serve the community.
Should my qualifications meet the needs of your hospital, I would appreciate the
opportunity for a personal interview at your earliest convenience. If you should need any
additional information regarding my qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me at
any time.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to talking with you in the very
near future.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Crowe
