            Lab Connections Inc., and is certainly more complicated and cumbersome. It should also be noted that
            if the mobile phase employed contains any solvents, then these will also be extracted by the methylene
            dichloride.

            However, providing the solvents were reasonably volatile, they would be removed in the nebulizing
            process. In addition, there must not be sufficient solvent present to render the mobile phase miscible
            with the methylene dichloride and prevent the formation of segmented flow.
