                                Your resume is looking pretty good, isn’t it? You’ve resolved your work history problems,
                                written dynamite achievement statements, made claims that blow your competition out of
                                the water—you’re on a roll! You need to consider only a few more things, and then you’ll
                                be ready to drop your resume in the mail.

                                In this chapter, I’ll share some helpful hints on how to make the most of your academic,
                                professional, and vocational training, as well as other activities that support your job objec-
                                tive. I’ll also explain why some information, such as references, salary history, and personal
                                data, may not belong on your resume at all.


                            Finish Lines

                                At this point, you may be left with laundry lists of technical, personal, and professional
                                details that don’t fit into the primary sections of your resume discussed so far. Lingering
                                lists might include the following information:
