There are a number of ways to produce your networking cards. You can:
➤ Create them on your computer and printer.
➤ Hire a desktop publishing service (such as one at a quality copy center) to produce
them.
➤ Use the services of a business-card catalog such as the those offered by some
mail-order paper companies.

Making your networking card can take just minutes when you have a strong resume to
draw from. The following examples demonstrate some ways in which a strong resume and a
few key points on a networking card can combine to get you the job you want.

Create the Future

Sue wasn’t sure exactly what type of marketing position she wanted, so she wrote a resume
(following) and networking card (following) that emphasized the skills she wanted to use,
rather than a job objective. She got many interviews as a result and landed a job that an
employer created just for her.
