IMPLICATIONS OF DISNEYIZATION

imply that a process of transferred Disneyization is taking place, but the references
are in general terms that signal a feeling that the Disney theme parks are provid-
                                                                                              177
ing models without delineating in more precise terms what the nature of the
impact might be. It is this issue that I have sought to address in this book. While
these various commentators suggest that transferred Disneyization is increasing,
structural Disneyization has also been occurring and is likely to continue to do
so. Together these two processes will contribute to the growing Disneyization of
                   society.
