OPTION 2 — PRESCRIPTIVE COMPLIANCE PATH (4 points in version 2.2, 1 point in
version 2009)
Option 2 is based on ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guides for various uses. In version
2.2 only the Small Office Building pathway was available, but version 2009 includes two
additional pathways for Small Retail Buildings (Path 2) and Small Warehouses and Self
Storage Buildings (Path 3), based on the 2006 and 2008 applicable ASHRAE Advanced
Energy Design Guide, respectively. The requirements are listed in Table 4.0.0 and are both
required as the EAp2 Minimum Energy Performance prerequisite and available as one point
