                                   ABOUT THE AUTHOR



            D. P. Devanand, M.D., who completed his specialty training at Yale University School of Medicine,
            is professor of clinical psychiatry and neurology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of
            Columbia University, New York, where he is codirector of the Memory Disorders Center. A
            practicing physician, he is board-certified with added subspecialty certification in geriatric
            psychiatry. He is the principal investigator of several research grants from the National Institutes of
            Health and private foundations. He has published two books and over 130 research and clinical
            articles and book chapters. Dr. Devanand currently resides in New York City.
