The nearly complete skeleton of a 12-year-old boy, known as
Nariokotome Boy, is displayed by research scientist Samuel Muteti
at Kenya National Museum in Nairobi. The skeleton is 1.6 million
years old.

years ago may represent the last of their variety of human.
But, in the old African homeland, most likely coming from
H. erectus stock, a new species equipped with a significantly
larger brain evolved about 700,000 years ago. These archaic
