168 The Ultimate Palm Robot

Running Simple Jig

When you are finished entering the program onto your PDA(or loading it from
the Palm Desktop), find and tap the yBasic icon in the Application Launcher.
This time the list of programs should show # simple jig program .bas.

Select the program and then tap the Run button. With the PDA attached to
the PPRK, turn the robot on. Then tap the Start button of the program. Place
the robot on the ground and place an object (a foot works well for this) in front
of sensor 1, about a foot away from the sensor. When the sensor detects the ob-
ject, the robot will perform its little jig.

NS Basic
NS Basic, from NS Basic Corporation, is a visual integrated development en-
vironment (IDE) that runs on a Windows PC. In a visual development envi-
ronment you create Palm applications by dragging controls onto forms, and
then adding code to the form or control. The fact that it is an IDE means that
