        to send a message that those values are even more important
        when facing challenges.
            I encourage you to take inspiration from Toyota and to take
        a long, hard look at your values and the culture of your organiza-
        tion. If you aren’t convinced that you and your company can turn
        crisis into opportunity, that you would be able to face problems
        honestly, take responsibility, and work toward improvement no
        matter what the circumstances, then make it your goal to start
        changing your culture. Whether that’s via a public commitment
        similar to the Global Business Oath or by taking on entrenched
        policies that reward the wrong behaviors or some other step, I
        encourage you to get started today. You never know when a crisis
        will strike, and when it does it will be too late to begin the process
        of change.
