                          A “me-first” person puts the team second, places personal gain
                        before group success, and withholds rather than shares the “ball.”
                        This attitude is simply not acceptable and one I would not tolerate.
                          Getting your people to think “Team First” is vital. It starts when
                        you teach each member of the group how she or he contributes to
                        the organization, when you make each one feel connected to the
                        team’s efforts, productivity, and ultimate success.
                          Some individuals are more difficult to replace than others, but
                        every person contributes—or should—to overall organizational
                        success. Each individual must feel valued, from the secretary to the
                        superstar salesperson and the senior manager. And, above all, each
                        person must comprehend precisely how his or her own job perfor-
