Ziauddin Sardar was not asked to play cricket for Pakistan. So, in an
attempt to become an "organic intellectual", he became a writer,
broadcaster and cultural critic. He has written Introducing
Muhammad, Chaos and Mathematics, Postmodernism and
the Other and numerous other books. Sometimes he visits
Middlesex University as a professor of science and
technology policy.
Borin Van Loon seems to move between the disparate spheres of
art, philosophy, and economic determinism with alarming ease. Having
recently directed his first full-length feature: "Eraserhead II —
Revenge Of The Pencil", he has divided his time between L.A.,
Bangkok and Saxmundham, with some really exciting projects in
development. Before embarking on his new production of "The
Ring" cycle, he is currently in the fastness of his country estate
finishing his novel.* He also has a rich and detailed fantasy life.
