            ? Memorably Good Question

                                     #25
What is the condition of this company today compared with
           five years ago?
After taking a job with a firm that I quickly learned was on its
demise, this is one of the questions I routinely ask. I follow
this question up with how I would be able to help the firm
grow over the next five years. Responses have varied from
the physical location of the firm to a major change in the
           governance of the company.

            ? Memorably Good Question

                                     #26

Can you briefly explain your management philosophy?

The fact that the person who interviewed me was able to do
so lucidly and persuasively let me know that she understood
the managerial function, that she was invested in her direct
reports, and that she understood that you have to work at
           being a good manager.
