               We will ease into the topic of word problems by translating English sen-
            tences into mathematical sentences. We will not solve word problems until
            later in the book.



                 Examples

                 Five is two more than three.

                 Ten less six is four.
                 10       6 ¼ 4
                 One half of twelve is six.

                 Eggs cost $1.15 per dozen
                               1.15 / 12 (this gives the price per egg)

                 The difference of sixteen and five is eleven.
