This is oriented directly across an east-north east-trending thick area of earlier
Permian sedimentation. This Triassic uplift, termed by Leonardi (1967) the Ates-
ino structural high, also caused the development of the Richthofen conglomerate
at the base of the Anisian beds above the Werfen. These coarse sediments are
considered to represent a pulse of uplift and erosion of the high. The lower
Anisian (Serla or Sarl Dolomite and its limestone facies, the Contrin) forms a
