HOW TO FIND OR BECOME A COACH 223
Becoming a Coach
For a complete listing of all the accredited coach-training schools
and organizations, please see the International Coach Federation
website at coachfederation.org. Programs vary widely in quality
and content. My personal recommendation is:
CoachInc.com
Tel: 800-48-COACH
E-mail: admissions@coachinc.com
Attend the free CoachInc.com Question and Answer TeleClass
to learn about the programs and services offered by Coach U
and Corporate Coach U. Also available is “Becoming a Coach,”
a four-week course conducted via highly interactive TeleClasses.
This course shares valuable information about beginning your
own coaching practice and allows you to hear and experience
coaching. The Core Essentials program, where everyone begins
training, is both challenging and fun and takes approximately
fifteen months to complete. New coaches are also encouraged to
participate in the Mentor Coach program to find an experienced
mentor coach.
