                                 1

Find a story you think should be covered in your area and do so. Write a
print story (500 words), a broadcast reader (25 seconds), and an online
piece on this topic. Make sure that you are fitting the style and format
of each medium. Also make sure you aren’t being redundant. Also, in
a short paper, discuss how you would tell the story visually and online.
Include how you would augment your work with images, video, audio
                                  and interactive elements.

Videotape a television news package of about 90 seconds. Transcribe
the tape. Discuss what is missing from the story and how you would
elaborate on that story if you produced print or online versions.
