About the author

Dr Joep Cornelissen is a Lecturer in Corporate Communications at the Leeds
University Business School, and previously taught at the Amsterdam School of
Communications Research, the University of Amsterdam. He currently teaches
corporate communications and marketing communications on the MBA and MA
programmes at Leeds. Dr Cornelissen has contributed many conference papers and
journal articles to the field, with his work appearing in leading management, market-
ing and communications journals including the Academy of Management Review, Organiza-
tion Studies, Journal of Advertising Research, British Journal of Management, Psychology &
Marketing, Journal of Business Communications, Journal of Marketing Management, Inter-
national Journal of Advertising and the Public Relations Review. He has been a corporate
communications consultant to Novartis, KPN (Dutch Telecom), the National Health
Service and to other companies in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
