                                 KEY LESSONS
           ● To be effective, the GCC organization typically needs
presence in the market, appropriate decision-making rights, and
             adequate resources.
           ● Dubai, and the UAE more broadly, have emerged as the
strongly preferred location for multinationals’ head offices in the
             region.
           ● The attributes that make Dubai an appealing place for
many head offices also have some negative side effects
(inflation, crowding, etc.) that need to be considered.
           ● Consumer product companies need a strong presence in
Saudi Arabia to stay close to the core market.
           ● Global firms must ensure they maintain their global quality,
business processes, and people management practices in the Gulf
             as they do everywhere.
