        Processing is step 4, near the end of a finished product’s road, but pro-
        cessing considerations have been present since Chap. 2, “Products and
        Design.” Process selection is often made according to a product’s configu-
        ration or design. When the process is selected, there are important deci-
        sions to be made. This chapter provides background for complex and
        critical decisions when one is selecting processes for engineering plastics
        and other thermoplastics.
