After clicking on the two lines to remain, press <Enter> and the following command
appears: <Select obj ect to trim>/undo:. Click on the small section of line to
remove it. Use EDIT POLYLINE in the Modify menu to give the finished drawing.
Exercise 1: basic isometric drawing examples
• Figure 3.3 shows four solid components and each has been drawn on a lOmm grid with a
5mm snap value. Open the Drawing Aids box from the Settings menu and click the
Isometric/Snap Grid.
• Ex. 1 can be drawn using the grid as a guide for the polylines.
• Ex. 2 requires you to choose ISOPLANE LEFT. Draw ellipses with 5 and lOmm radii and
delete the unwanted parts with the BREAI( option.
• Ex. 3 uses ISOPLANE RIGHT with 5 and 10mm ellipses.
• Ex. 4 uses both ISOPLANE RIGHT and ISOPLANE TOP. Complete one part and then
toggle to the other plane.
