Click on Equivalent Stress 2 and Equivalent Stress 3 in the Outline to review the
von Mises stress of the pin and the holder, respectively.

Modeling tips: It is in general a good idea to take advantage of symmetry when-
ever possible to simplify calculations. The base stand assembly is symmetric
about the XY-plane. To create a half-symmetry model, open “Assembly.wbpj”
and double-click on the Geometry cell in the Project Schematic to launch
the SpaceClaim program. In SpaceClaim, click on the Split By Plane icon on
the Prepare tab. In the Graphics Window, Ctrl-click the pin, holder and base
geometry, and click on the X-Y plane as the cutter plane to split the assembly
into two halves, as shown below. Click on the Select Regions to Remove icon
in the Graphics Window, and click on the divided half parts to remove half of
the assembly. A half-model will be created as shown below. Exit SpaceClaim.
