Preparation of Chlorophyll
Place 2 cups of fresh spinach and 1 L isobutyl alcohol in a food blender and homoge-
nize until the leaf tissue is thoroughly dispersed. Filter the solution through several lay-
ers of cheesecloth. The same procedure can be used to prepare extracts of other tissues
(50 g).
