IDENTIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS
PROCESSES IN THE PROJECT-ORIENTED COMPANY
In macro business process management, the business processes of the project-oriented
company have to be identified. Overall business processes that might require a project or
even a program for their fulfilment have to be further broken down into single business
processes, which then can be described. The primary business processes that can be iden-
tified depend on the line of business the company is in. The secondary and tertiary busi-
ness processes are similar for many companies because all of them have to perform such
management processes as strategic planning, personnel management, etc.
There are business processes at different levels of detail. Overall or major business
processes include several single business processes. Because of different start and end
events, different objectives, and different organizational responsibilities of the single
