Hardware is a major investment for your organization. Not only do you have to consider
your mission-critical applications, but if you are considering lessening your environmental
impact, you have another layer of issues to consider. However, going green is not impossible.
In fact, many large companies are doing just that. In the next two chapters, we’ll look at a few
of the companies who not only have gone green in their datacenters, but have made the
commitment to reduce their carbon footprint across the entire company.
