materials which need a long-curing time. However, as with other materials,
polymer-based and plastic building materials have some disadvantages.
Many of them have low thermal stability as well as a low melting point.
Hence, emission of volatiles is of great concern due to environmental
regulations. Furthermore, there is a potential for the lethal release of
hazardous fumes by some plastics during a fire.
