Reservoirs with ALFP have been recognized mainly in the low-permeability, gas-
saturated reservoirs in uplifted basins. The mechanisms for generating under-
pressured reservoirs relate to changes in the rock and fluid properties during
erosional uplift, e.g., as a result of reduction in temperature, rock dilatancy, gas
solubility, and groundwater discharge.
