reactor circuit and transfers heat to the intermediate NaK circuit, which
acts as a buffer against making the steam circuit radioactive.
Calculation Procedure:
1. Determine the steam outlet and saturation temperature
Figure 1 shows that NaK enters the boiler at 950°F (510.0°C). Draw a
horizontal line on the enthalpy-temperature (h-t) diagram (Fig. 2), indicating
the 950°F (510.0°C) NaK temperature entering the boiler. Also draw a
horizontal line on the h-t diagram, Fig. 2, at 1000°F (537.8°C), indicating the
Na temperature leaving the reactor.
