cially useful in electrical applications. Flame-retardant TPEs are available for electrical
uses requiring rubber that will not support combustion.
A growing number of uses for TPEs in food-processing equipment include beverage-
dispenser pumps and food-container seals. In the medical-use area, uses include peristaltic
pump tubing, syringe stoppers, catheters, and hospital tubing and sheeting.
