In 1953, Murrow began an interview show, Person to Person, which involved
informal interviews with celebrities. He also worked with CBS Reports, where
he was part of the famous documentary on migrant workers, "Harvest of
Shame."
In 1961, he left CBS to take charge of the U.S. Information Agency. Illness
forced his retirement in 1963.
