16 Blush
16.1 Description
Blush is a cosmetic defect commonly found just inside the gate location of a part,
resulting in an appearance that may be dull or discolored. Sometimes blush can be
found in areas where a wall stock transition occurs. See Figure 16.1 for an example
of blush.
Also known as: gate blush, gate shear, halos
Mistaken identities: jetting, flow lines, flow marks
