47 Weld Lines
47.1 Description
When plastic flows around an obstruction in a mold the point where the material
comes back together is called a weld line. If the material continues to flow together
after coming together it will become a meld line. Plastic will always form a weld
line when it splits in a mold. Figure 47.1 shows an example of weld lines.

Mistaken identities: scratches, flow lines, cracks
