As usual, the White House Fellows network has proven to be a powerful
force!
Of course, I thank all of the White House Fellows who participated
in the project with such generosity and zeal. Engaging in a dialogue about
leadership with these outstanding individuals was one of the most enlight-
ening, entertaining, and moving experiences of my life. I deeply regret that
I could only include stories from half of them in this book. It is my sincere
desire to use the many remaining lessons in a future volume.
And finally, I want to thank God for filling my life with opportu-
nities, challenges, and an abundance of love; and for giving me the gift
of His grace so that I may face each new day with hope and a peaceful
spirit.
